I’d like to purchase an older model Marantz because its good sound quality minus a few new features and i would like to use the MRAC auto setup tools but as we know it requires a mic- sometimes i see sets for sale but i won’t purchase until i know that i can utilize the calibration tool. Somesr8500’s online ive seen don’t come with the mic because the seller either lost it or has not included the mic for some other reason…

I don’t think it is backwards compatible, but the only way I know to check (other than try it out) is to contact Marantz customer service at. Click on country and then home support.
