Bose can never achieve the frequency response of any decent speaker out there. You would be better off tossing the Bose in the trash and buying matching Klipsch all the way around. If you have to keep the Bose, I would use them as surround speakers and buy three matching Klispch up front, because they will handle 80% of the sound. Use the Bose as surrounds because they can handle the "ambience" effects of surround sound but make sure you have a great sub and adjust the crossover on all the speakers accordingly.

Sorry to hear about your Bose front speakers. It is much better to match your speakers so that they all sound the same. That makes much for better panning and a seamless soundstage.

Of course the Klipsch is a much better speaker than the 301's
