How do i connect my guitar and pedal into my amp?

I have a Yamaha Guitar model ERG121U

and a Yamaha Guitar amplifier model GA 15

Im planning on getting a pedal sometime near in the future but I am worried i need to buy a new amplifier fo i can also use the pedal.

there will be an input and output connectors for the pedal. You plug the guitar in (same cord that goes from the guitar to the amp normally without a pedal), to one side of the pedal (input) and run another cord (same kind of cord) to the amp. You don’t need a special amp or anything to use a pedal.

The pedal has nothing to do with volume unless that is what it’s designed for. All you need to do it plug it in between the amp and your guitar
